Daniele Caramani is since September 2020 the Director of EGPP taking over from Brigid Laffan, founding director in 2018-2020. In this capacity he holds the Ernst. B. Haas Chair in European Governance and Politics at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. He contributes to the development of the themes of EGPP with projects on European-wide territorial and functional cleavages in a historical perspective, on the politics of technocratic governance and its challenge to representative institutions in Europe, on technocratic attitudes among European citizens, and on Europe’s position in global territorial and functional cleavages in a historical perspective.
