Stefano Bartolini’s association with EGPP focusses on the development of theories on the relationships between the process of European integration and the key features of the European nation-state experience. Models developed at the level of nation-states using the concepts of exit-voice, political restructuring, centre-formation and political cleavage are applied to the forming polity of the European Union.
