Gary Marks association with the EGPP is through his role as a co-leader with Liesbet Hooghe, EGPP Associate, on the Transnational project. The Transnational project is funded by an advanced European Research Council grant and it will examine political polarization in Western societies. Likewise, Gary Marks and his fellow EGPP Associate Liesbet Hooghe have connected their ongoing political party dataset project, the Chapel Hill Expert Surveys, to the EGPP. He regularly participates in EGPP seminars.
